Facebook whistleblower Frances Haugen is back in the spotlight as a new film, The Social Reckoning, brings her story to a wider audience. Starring Mikey Madison and Jeremy Allen White, the film dramatises her decision to expose Facebook's internal research.
Haugen spoke to journalists she has "extreme worry" about a shift in values at Meta and believes Zuckerberg is taking dangerous risks with AI. She said she hopes the film inspires others to act, telling The Verge she wants it to spark a new wave of insiders speaking out.
